糖尿病患者的胰臟不能製造足夠的胰島素,導致葡萄糖無法充分進入細胞內,血糖濃度就會升高,形成糖尿病,患者下肢的末梢神經會遭破壞。由於神經受損,令患者失去足部知覺,因而容易受傷而導致關節病變及傷口潰爛,嚴重時甚至要截肢。 患有糖尿足的人要避免足部受傷,因此應選保護力特強的鞋子﹕ ●應穿著特殊之糖尿病鞋及鞋墊,這種鞋的特點是鞋頭空間增加,縫線減少,鞋墊可幫助分散足底壓力,避免壓力集中在某一點,因而避免因為摩擦而出現傷口 ●應選密嘴圓頭鞋,以及用魔術貼或鞋帶的鞋子,平底無鞋跟更佳 ●以柔軟物料製造的鞋子較佳 ●穿著前,要確保鞋內沒有雜物如沙石、釘子等,以免腳部感覺遲鈍而被弄傷 ●不可赤腳走路 扁平足 足部內側的「足弓」,在人走動時提供適度的彈力和扭力,並吸收地面的反作用力,以達到吸震的效果。扁平足因弓起的高度不足,易致重心不穩。運動時最好加上足弓墊,減輕肌肉疲勞。 患有扁平足的人,應選擇能固定及承托因扁平足而引發的足跟外翻變形。因此,選購鞋子時要注意﹕ ●應選擇硬皮密嘴鞋,綁帶鞋更佳,以幫助中足之支撐及穩定 ●短靴以過腳眼為標準 ●鞋跟高度約半寸。堅硬的鞋跟,可穩定後足及中足,並且減少距骨(後跟骨)下關節及跗骨(足中掌)間關節的活動 ●不宜穿布鞋、帆船鞋、涼鞋或拖鞋 ●選用全接觸半硬式鞋墊,以減少距骨下關節內旋,減少韌帶壓力,穩定蹠骨(足前掌)間關節 大姆趾外翻 正常的拇趾外偏角度為10至15度,若超過15度就為拇趾外翻。避免足患日益嚴重,選購鞋子時要注意﹕ ●避免高跟鞋及尖頭鞋 ●應選擇柔軟的物料、寬頭、密嘴及平底鞋,旨在給大姆趾充分空間為主 ●已形成姆趾黏液囊腫大者,應選擇涼鞋、人字拖,用以避開大姆趾囊腫與鞋之摩擦,以及分隔大姆趾及二趾
