    Tips on pumping Gas

    TIPS ON PUMPING GAS

I don't know what you guys are paying for gasoline.... but here in California we are also paying higher,up to $3.50 per gallon. But my line of work is in petroleum for about 31
years now, so here are some tricks to get more of your money's worth for every gallon..

Here at the Kinder Morgan Pipeline where I work in San Jose , CA we deliver about 4 million gallons in a 24-hour period thru the pipeline. One day is diesel the next day is jet fuel, and gasoline, regular and premium grades. We have 34-storage tanks here with a total capacity of 16,800,000 gallons.

Only buy or fill up your car or truck in the early morning

when the ground temperature is still cold.
Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground the more dense the gasoline, when it gets warmer gasoline expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening....your gallon is not exactly a gallon. In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products plays an important role.  A
1-degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business. But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps.

When you're filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to a fast mode
. If you look you will see that the trigger has three (3) stages: low, middle, and high.
In slow mode you should be pumping on low speed, thereby minimizing the vapors that are created while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapor
    return.

If you are pumping on the fast rate, some of the liquid thatgoes to your tank becomes vapor. Those vapors are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you're getting less worth for your money.

One of the most important tips is to fill up when your gas tank is HALF FULL
    .
The reason for this is, the more gas you have in your tank the less air occupying its empty space.
Gasoline evaporates faster than you can imagine. Gasoline storage tanks have an internal floating roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the gas and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation. Unlike
service stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature compensated so that every gallon is actually the exact amount.

Another reminder, DO NOT fill up if there is a
gasoline truck pumping into the storage tanks when you stop to buy gas
    ,
most likely the gasoline is being stirred up as the gas is
being delivered, and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom.

Hope this will help you get the most value for your money.

DO SHARE THESE TIPS WITH OTHERS!

    Sharing

I got this from my working colleague and I think it's nice to share it

    ~DEATH~

WHAT A WONDERFUL WAY TO EXPLAIN IT!

A sick man turned to his doctor,as he was preparing to leave the examination room and said,

"Doctor, I am afraid to die.

Tell me what lies on the other side."

Very quietly, the doctor said, "I don't know."

    "You don't know?

You, a Christian man and a doctor, do not know what is on the other side?"

    The doctor was holding the handle of the door;

on the other side came a sound of scratching and whining,

and as he opened the door,

a dog sprang into the room

and leaped on him with an eager show of gladness.

Turning to the patient, the doctor said,

    "Did you notice my dog?

He's never been in this room before.

He didn't know what was inside.

He knew nothing except that his master was here,

and when the door opened, he sprang in without fear.

I know little of what is on the other side of death,

but I do know one thing...

I know my Master is there and that is enough."

橇有可能會成個走咗……because of all the sled dogs pulling on the sled without any weight on!!

We had a simple instruction lesson for the first 0.5 hours and was on the ride for 2 hours or 2.5 hours (in between we have rest and treat time for the dog), 我們也在結了冰的湖面上行了一半的time! It was really fun! Please take a look on the pictures ^_^

Those Huskies were so clever, if you slow down for some reason, they will look back at you and puzzled why you are slowing down!

(奉勸各位----滑雪真係會上癮), 因為係weekday, that’s not many people there, only school trip, so we had a very good time!

45mins.) But I really really THANK GOD!

(I am on the far left side)打橫"線"過四條行車線到最右的一條車線,然後90度clockwise spinning!

到1:20pm,因為實在落雪落得太大,my supervisor ( she is my best boss)叫我一定要走,she will ask our boss to let me go!

So I left at around 1:30pm..........I think this is great, I can go early..... If I step on the break less, I will get stuck in the snow but if I step on my break hard, I will defintely crash the car behind........I tried a few time but with still can't get out.

I tried and my car got stuck in the snow finally and I feel so helpless...so I prayed to God and asked for His help and within a few seconds my car was free from the snow! Praise the Lord
